About

My name is Gabriella Rothman, I am a drug and alcohol counsellor and holistic health practitioner. I graduated as a healthcare consultant from the University of Szeged in Hungary in 2010, and in 2021, I earned a postgraduate addiction counsellor qualification from the HES-SO Institute in Switzerland. I have 20 years of experience working with addicts from various backgrounds. In my work, I largely rely on my theoretical knowledge about addiction and therapeutic skills to promote recovery, however, it is my personal recovery experience that makes me somewhat unique and authentic in this field. Those who turn to me for support are met with genuine empathy and respect and are assisted in their journey to achieve and sustain long-term recovery. As a holistic healthcare practitioner, I believe that our overall health and wellbeing rest on a harmonious balance of our body, soul and spirit, andself-knowledge and self-awareness are essential skills to achieve this balance. I collaborate with my clients to help them achieve their recovery-oriented goals and a drug-free and health-conscious lifestyle. The auto-biographical account of my personal experiences with addiction and recovery was published in 2010, with the title “My Father Was Beautiful”.
